About Dr. Pugh

A native to the area, Dr. Pugh received his undergraduate at Liberty University in 2000 and his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2006. Dr. Pugh received his Fellowship degree from the Federation of International Academy of Medical Acupuncture in 2010, and then he became certified for Active Release Techniques in 2014. He also provides chiropractic care for the PGA and Champions tour events as well as for local and professional athletes like the Richmond Kickers. Dr. Pugh has the distinct privilege of providing chiropractic care and acupuncture to United States Veterans in cooperation with the Veterans Administration.

About Dr. Mendonca

Dr. Rosa Mendonca is a healthcare professional originally from Toronto, Ontario with a strong academic background. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario, and her interest and dedication to understanding the musculoskeletal system, led her to continue her education and obtain a Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Northeast College of Health Sciences in Seneca Falls, New York. After completing her chiropractic studies, she relocated to Chesterfield, Virginia, where she currently is working as a chiropractic associate at Ironbridge Chiropractic and Acupuncture Center (ICAC).

As a chiropractor, Dr. Mendonca’s primary goal is to help her clients move and feel better through comprehensive care and personalized treatment plans. She is trained in a variety of treatments, including: chiropractic manipulation and mobilization techniques, dry needling, and active release techniques, which are used to promote greater mobility and healing. Furthermore, she utilizes exercise rehabilitation and passive modalities such as heat therapy, ice packs, and/or electrical stimulation, to complement her treatment approach.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Rosa Mendonca enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She has a love for traveling and exploring new places, and she appreciates trying out new restaurants in her area. Staying active is essential to her, and she participates in various activities like running, hiking, and going to the gym to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Mendonca’s commitment to her patients’ well-being and overall health through chiropractic care make her a valuable member of the ICAC team.
